The next episode continues where the first one left off. Howard finds out his moodiness is due to extra doses of estrogen. Sheldon shops for a welcome gift for Leonard, not knowing Leonard has already returned and is in Penny’s apartment.

Howard

Howard has been on an emotional roller coaster, feeling moody, overweight, and emotional. He snaps at Raj, gets upset when Bernadette makes brownies (“You know I’m trying to lose weight!”) and gets teary-eyed at odd moments. Bernadette finds the problem when she looks at the medicine Howard has been rubbing on his mom’s back. The cream contained a high level of estrogen, which had been absorbed by his skin. Howard worries that his breasts are larger than they should be. He and Raj compare.

Sheldon, Leonard and Penny

Sheldon goes to the comic book store to find a welcome home gift for Leonard. Stuart uses reverse psychology to convince Sheldon to buy an Aquaman statue for $1200. He then tries to sell Sheldon a $200 squirt gun.

Meanwhile, Leonard returns early from his trip and surprises Penny when he shows up in her apartment. Leonard wants to spend a few days with Penny before seeing Sheldon. However, Sheldon realizes there must be another person with Penny when he sees that trash is actually in the trash can. Convinced that Penny is being unfaithful to Leonard, Sheldon and Amy barge into her apartment…only to discover Leonard. Sheldon is hurt that Leonard would trick his best pal. When Howard gives them a teary and emotional talking-to, Sheldon and Leonard agree to make up.
