In the trending video, influencer Rob Anderson shared his thoughts after watching the fan-favorite romance film 22 years later.

Alongside West, A Walk to Remember stars Mandy Moore, 39, and chronicles the relationship between a tough high school boy, Landon (West), and his overachieving classmate, Jamie (Moore).

After he’s punished and instructed to perform community service, he grows close to Jamie and quickly falls in love with her. But as the two develop a strong, sweet relationship, Landon learns that his girlfriend is living with leukemia and nearing the end of her life.

While audiences have adored the movie for the past couple of decades, Anderson shared his insight into a few of the film’s plotlines.

As he poked fun, he commented and applauded Moore’s performance of “Only Hope," during the fictional couple’s performance in their school play.

“Jamie sings the greatest pop ballad ever,” said Anderson. “Also her character wrote this song and every other song in the musical. She is quite a talented dying girl.”

While West saw the humor in Anderson’s review, the actor shared his gratitude for the role in a recent interview with the New York Post.

“But even in the moment, I was just so happy that people liked it and loved it, and it kind of helped me along,” he recalled.

West continued to share he wasn’t aware of the type of impact the film would have on audiences at the time — or in the future. He confessed he didn’t know “that people would still talk about it to this day.”

While Moore’s character met a tragic fate in the movie, West shared he’s eager to reunite with Moore in “any capacity.”

“I love her. She’s great,” said West. “She’s a wonderful human being and a great person.” As West toyed with the idea of reuniting with his former costar, he shared that he believes fans want the pair to reunite in “some sort of romantic capacity.”
