Everyone is at some kind of a party for Derek or something. Alex tells Lexi how hot her butt is (and I agree 100%). Mark is horny but Callie isn’t interested because she is bummed out about Arizona. Owen asks Christina to get their own place and move in together (and she accepts but she’s drunk). One of the new girls from Mercy West goes to hit on Mark (and she’ll likely be successful). And Miranda is back at her crushes house having a little hanky panky, too.

And finally, Teddy comes home to Mark and undresses, walks into the bedroom, and the intern chick (is her name Reid?) is in bed, as Mark walks out of the shower in just a towel and instead of acting busted Mark goes “well this could be fun if we let it”. Teddy isn’t down though but she’s not mad, either. Lexi overhears all this and she doesn’t seem happy. Alright readers let’s see what else Grey’s has in store for us!

Two different old people are in the hospital. They seem to know each other from like fifty years ago. Kind of cute. They end up telling their stories seperately. They were both in love, even though he was engaged to her best friend, and apparently they lost their virginity to each other, and they wanted to call off the engagement, but he didn’t. Apparently they both went through life missing each other in spite of being otherwise happy marriages (both of their partners are deceased now). The old guy asks Betty to move in with him because he doesn’t want to miss another opportunity to be together. But Betty says no (because she got over him) which is kind of sad. But pragmatic. Later on Owen and Christina are arguing in the stair well about how Owen feels about Teddy- and he admits he doesn’t know how he feels about her. Then we hear a pager go off in the stairwell- it’s Teddy. OH SNAP SHE WAS EAVESDROPPING! They’re paged to the old man, he’s not doing so well. He ends up OK and Betty tells him she’s decided she WILL move in with him across the country. Cute in an old person kind of way!

And we also have a Paranoid Schizophrenic in today. Right off the bat she’s trying to stab herself with a huge needle but Alex talks her down. The doctors want to run a few more tests. Alex doesn’t think she’s just crazy though. Lexi confronts Alex about ‘what they are’ and expresses she’s over Mark (even though she isn’t) and Alex says “yeah, we’re a thing”. LOL. He’s a smooth operator! Then he goes to see the Schizophrenic patient and puts something on her face (looks like a 3D gaming device) and her eyes wig out and he says he’s diagnosed her. She has some weird thing where she can hear everything that goes on in her body and outside noise is amplified or something. She wakes up after surgery and she’s finally OK.

Miranda sees her man-lover flirting with another woman in the hospital and Miranda is not happy. She asks Mark if everyman needs more than one woman or if it matters how good the woman is. Mark can tell that Miranda is upset about her man, even though she won’t admit it. They are all in surgery together working on a burn victim. Things are a little tense so Mark decides to lighten it up by going the extra mile for the patient.  Miranda’s man goes to explain the situation from before. He explains that he flirts (poorly) with that other nurse because she makes his life easier because she’s a mean nurse. And then they sneakily hold hands in the elevator so I guess she forgives him.

Callie is inspired by the two old people and she tells Mark he’s not over Lexi and he shouldn’t let her slip through his fingertips. So Mark goes to tell Lexi that he’s still in love with her. She says she has a boyfriend but you can tell she’s conflicted. And Callie and Arizona kiss in the elevator quickly, too. And Christina is not moving in with Owen.

That’s it, readers. What did you think? And let me just say that next week’s season finale looks CRAZY!!!

  1. Farrah says:

I think Lexi likes being with Alex because she feels superior to him. He goes to her for help (ie she was the one who knew what the schizophrenic patient really had) whereas with Mark she was the inferior one. I’m hoping she realizes this soon because they obviously like eachother and Alex is just using her to 1) get over Izzie and 2) seem smart.

While I liked this episode, I feel like it was just filler leading up to the finale, which I hear is amazeballs. It might even beat the Denny’s heart/Burke gets shot finale!
