NCIS: Los Angeles: Medalion Rahimi Upped to Series Regular as Fatima
One year after making her NCIS: Los Angeles debut, Medalion Rahimi has been promoted to series regular status on the high-octane CBS drama, where she plays Special Agent Fatima Namazi. Our sister site Deadline first reported on the upgrade.
Rahimi made her NCIS: LA debut a little over a year ago, in the first half of a two-parter involving the team’s hunt for a terrorist cell believed to be prepping for an imminent attack. She has appeared eight times since then, most recently in the Nov. 10 episode, in which the team crashed a videogame streamer’s party to solve the theft of an undersea drone.
She will next appear in the March 1 episode.
The Los Angeles-born actress’ previous TV credits include ABC’s short-lived Still Star-Crossed, The Catch and, yes, episodes of both NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans (though playing different characters).
NCIS: Los Angeles resumes Season 11 on Sunday, Feb. 16, with an episode in which the team investigates the murder of a Naval warfare engineer at a spoken poetry event ,while Callen asks Nell to assist him in a worldwide search for Anna Kolchek’s whereabouts.

Love her character! This is great news. Can’t help but wonder who might be leaving. They have really pushed the Nell/Eric storyline to think it’s one of them or both.

Plus Callen thought Hetty was grooming Nell for her position but changed her mind after Nell said she couldn’t put anyone in a dangerous undercover assignment like Hetty put Eric in.
So? nothing’s official. I don’t get how this fandom is so gulliable now to pointless rumors and speculation that never goes anywhere. Just like last spring.

I think Callen should enlighten Hetty that not everyone has to run the group like she did, and that Nell is still a good choice to succeed her.

Cool I like her scenes with Nell. Though if there was anyone I’d like to see more of I’d rather it be Turk he reminds me of a more violent version of early seasons Deeks.
Totally agree with you about Turk. He would be a fantastic addition and breathe some new life into the cast.
She’s a good choice, but I really wish they had kept Harley Hidoko (played by Andrea Bordeaux) instead.

Not sure if this is a good thing or not bc rumor I read online was this is the last season. Happy for the actress either way!
There’s no final season announcement, therefore, this is in no way the final season. it’ll be renewed in 1 or 2 months from now

I will no longer watch. I dont inderstand why we continue to normalize women wearing hijabs. It is anti-feminist, and propagates the subordination and segregation of women. Any feminist should reject this.
Feminism is about choice and respecting a woman’s right to live her life as she chooses. Some men cover their heads/hair for religious reasons and no one criticizes them. What does it matter to you or me how another woman chooses to live her life?
Too bad you’re ignorant. Yes there are ME countries where it’s compulsory, but that doesn’t mean every Muslim woman worldwide is forced to wear one. For many like this character, they choose to wear a hijab of their own free will
Religion shouldn’t be on it, but as there is a scarf as well as Sam bringing it up so often, we are made to acknowledge it. Like it or not. I don’t find religion of any denomination entertaining.
I totally agree with you, those who are trying to normalize it need a history lesson, no muslim woman wore the hijab for religious reasons before the 1960s, only as a cultural dress. The muslim botherhood came up with it as a tool of oppression, and using their influence they were able to spread their poison everywhere. We used to enjoy watching western shows because they didn’t have any kind of religious messages, now that’s all we see.
Remember back in Season 9’s Reentry when Hetty said something that sounded like she was dying? and yet she still didn’t leave? It’s the same here. She says something that sounds like she’ll actually leave but she never does. it’s the same whenever she ‘retires’, we all know she dosn’t mean it.Therefore, people say things they don’t actually mean, all the time. it’s the same here. No one is replacing no one, no one is leaving. it’s all pointless speculation.

Good, I like her character. I wouldn’t even mind if she replaced Nell or Eric. I don’t know whether Hetty will retire but she’s not really on the show these days even so. Is she ever coming back?

One thing is clear…it seems that Linda Hunt is not doing well or — at least — has not recovered sufficiently from her accident. You can tell that her speech seems slightly impaired and she still isn’t moving much in any of her *rare* appearances.
