Are The Simpsons Getting Caught Up in a (Very Early) College Admissions Scandal? Watch Exclusive Sneak Peek

It sounds like Lisa Simpson will be playing the Varsity Blues on Christmas Eve.

Sunday’s episode of The Simpsons (Fox, 8/7c) includes a storyline that riffs on the infamous college admissions scandal of 2019, and TVLine has your exclusive first look.

Titled “Do the Wrong Thing,” the episode is largely centered around Homer and Bart employing some questionable methods to become “kings of the blue-collar sports circuit.” But perfect-child Lisa might also have to get a little dishonest if she wants to get into the pre-college program of her dreams; as you’ll see in the video above, Principal Skinner is of little to no help, so she’s pretty much on her own.

Now in its 35th season, The Simpsons stars Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer, among other voice actors.

The show recently made headlines when co-creator James L. Brooks cleared up some misinformation about Homer allegedly scaling back his, uh, unique handling of Bart.

“Don’t think for a second we’re changing anything,” Brooks told People. “Nothing’s getting tamed. Nothing, nothing, nothing. He’ll continue to be strangled — [if] you want to use that awful term for it. He’ll continue to be loved by his father in a specific way.”
