This week Betty wins an award for her blog called the Blobby, which causes some turmoil between her and Daniel. Marc is excited about his new job. Wilhelmina finds out there is a drag queen dressing as her and entertaining small crowds (and me) and he calls himself Wilheldiva Hater. (This is Vanessa Williams real brother, no wonder he acts just like her).
While Betty is being interviewed (and filmed) for her Blobby, by a young fan, Daniel comes by and tells stories of how Betty was when she started. He tells embarrassing stories but also that he adores his little assistant. Betty is not happy. She then talks to Hilda of what happened and says she didn’t want her readers to know any of that stuff Daniel said. Her blog is always positive and upbeat.
Amanda takes over the role of Daniel’s assistant (with benefits) and then hires our ol friend Helen ( you know – the older version of Amanda).
When Betty & Daniel have their interview with the international film stars (which Betty has seen every one- Daniel, not so much) Daniel takes Betty’s notes and acts as if he has seen all their work. Betty gets mad and embarrasses him in the same way he did to her. Way to go Bet!
Helen does an awful job, and Willie tells Amanda that she needs to fire her.
Drag-dude Wilheldiva does his act and sees that Willie is in the club (along with Claire and Marc- who wouldn’t miss it for the world) Diva tells Willie how he is a big fan of hers, but Willie is angry and wants him fired. Later he comes to her office to try and explain which Willie wants no part of…until she sees that people talk to Diva as if they are talking to the real Willie. Willie has a plan….
Amanda tries to fire Helen, but when Helen gives her sob story of how she has no one and no money, Amanda promotes her to “Overseer of the closet” and she is not to ever be seen and gets paid with DanielMoney…no you can’t get groceries with it, sorry.
Betty vents on her blog(even though Papi told her to just keep it among family members) about what Daniel did to her. She goes on and on about how mad she was at him. The next day she gets tons of hits on her blog and that is the day Daniel decides to read her blog and see what it’s all about…and is he pissed!
Daniel is so mad and degrades the importance of Betty’s blog, which Betty tells him to forget about being her presenter of the award, which he tells her he doesn’t want to do it anyways. She was going to write a retraction but changes her mind.
It takes Amanda to get through Daniels thick skull- and pretty much calls him a douche bag -and tells him he is threatened by Betty’s success. He starts to deny it, but then a light bulb seems to go off and he runs out the door to try and make the award ceremony. God, I love Amanda!
Betty had asked Willie to give her the award, and of course Willie sent Diva to do it. Now, one of the funny things going on is that Ignacio is in love with Willie-Diva and thinks he is beautiful while Justin and Hilda roll their eyes. Daniel makes it, and tries to say nice things but the bloggers keep throwing things at him. Betty thanks him and accepts the award. They are friends again.
Willie runs to the club to stop Diva from performing, but everyone is mistaken her for him…that’s right! So they ask Willie to perform. Next thing you know, she is singing and getting all relaxed and everyone loves her. (Of course…she is Vanessa W). The next day the drag man comes and thanks her for his best night! She decides to not have him fired and just asks that she can perform once in a while…hehe.
Well. That’s this week’s show. We are down to our final eps and I am going to sadly miss this show. I loved writing the recap and enjoyed these characters immensely, I hope you did to. Where do you hope they end up with all the characters? Tell me your thoughts.
