PLOT
I really wanted to like this episode. I usually like Castle’s lighter and sillier episodes. I like that the producers and writers are good about evening out the season with light and heavy episodes. And considering next week’s promo, I totally understand why they went for the light episode on Monday. But try as I might, I didn’t really like this episode. I’m not sure if the reason I didn’t like it was because Psych had a similar episode last week (like, REALLY similar), or maybe it was something else. But this episode just didn’t stick for me. I was reminded a lot of last year’s episode “Pretty Dead.” With both the Psych episode and last season’s Castle episode on my mind, this episode fell short of my expectations. By a lot.

I felt like the jokes fell flat, the twin thing was weird and the killer was really predictable. Ryan and Esposito’s banter had it’s funny moments, but for the most part they didn’t get more than a chuckle out of me. This episode was probably one of my least favorites out of the season (or maybe even the series).

COMING UP

PREDICTIONS
Clearly, it does not look good for our dynamic duo. Once Castle finds out that Beckett has lied to him this whole time, that she does remember, he’s going to be heartbroken. Understandably so. The fact that Beckett lets it just slip is weird to me. She’s been so careful not to let him know. Then she just randomly blurts it out? It’s very un-Beckett. But maybe that’s the point. As for Castle getting upset, it has seemed to me that Castle actually thought she did remember, but was letting her tell him in her own time. Maybe I’m wrong, but if that’s the case, does he really have any reason to be upset?
