Collection includes c. 70 individual items; mostly involved with clearing the estates of James Wright and that of Nathaniel Pearsall; with many of the documents involving both of these families and heirs from each; interesting accounts of estate contents, will bequests, debts being paid; Pearsall appears to have been a wagon maker and this is reflected in various documents; James Wright seems to have been an attorney or legal advisor and is also an executor for some of the materials; there are documents relating to the estate of Israel Wright and other relations as well; various paper sizes and qualities; some wear and soiling, old fold lines; a few of the documents with old tax-stamps still affixed; about 1/2 dozen of the James Wright receipts' writing going pale, still legible; overall, in good to very good condition and a good micro-glimpse of these family's fortunes and legal arrangements on Long Island in the middle part of the 19th century.
