The Orion Safety Film Solar Filter is made with high-quality Safety Solar Film, designed specifically for safe observation of the Sun through a telescope. Using this streak-free and blister-free film filter is an affordable and safe way to observe sunspots, solar eclipses and planetary transits of our Sun. The durable film polymer shows the Sun in its natural color. This Orion Safety Film Solar Filter has a cell made of aluminum--not plastic like some lower-quality filters--with three safety thumbscrews that grip the front of the telescope to ensure a tight, secure fit. This filter is designed to be used with equipment up to 0.25" smaller than the rated filter size. Don't miss out on the fun of observing solar activity. Get an affordable Orion Safety Film Solar Filter for your telescope or binoculars! (NOTE: binoculars require two filters.) CAUTION: Never look at the Sun, either directly or through a telescope, without a professionally made protective solar filter installed that completely covers the front of the instrument, or permanent eye damage could result.
