This uncirculated 2,000 Italian lira note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Italy. It is a brown, orange, green, and blue note that is dated 03 October 1990, bears the signatures of Carlo Azeglio Ciampi and Speziali, and measures 119 mm x 61 mm. Its obverse side features a portrait of Guglielmo Marconi and the seal of the Maritime Republics (Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa, and Venice). Its reverse side shows the Marconi Wireless Station, the research ship Elettra, radio equipment, and a penal code. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Guglielmo Marconi with an electrotype bank monogram.
