I worked in the legal field for 25 years, and when my husband received his teaching degree, we both moved to Abu Dhabi where he taught Business Ethics & Leadership at one of the universities. I was offered a position as a legal secretary in a US Law Firm which was opening an office in Abu Dhabi. When the law firm moved, I accepted the position of Office School Manager for a children’s Ballet company, and then ultimately offered the position of Nursery School Manager for a Pre-School in Abu Dhabi.

I always loved keeping a journal as a young child, as I found that it was easier to express my feelings in writing rather than to speak my truth, as the words seemed to flow on paper. However, it was not until my husband was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer that I had ever considered writing a book as a memoir to my husband.
