Jalen Rose was a talented pro-baller who rose to fame as a member of University of Michigan’s “fab five”. Turns out, singing wasn’t part of his skill set.
Rose paid homage to David Bowie during ESPN’s NBA Countdown pre-game analysis Wednesday by pulling a quote from the late British music legend. “Confront a corpse at least once,” he read. “The absolute absence of life is the most disturbing and challenging confrontation you will ever have.”

Rose then explained his favorite two Bowie songs were “Under Pressure” (a collab with Queen) and “Let’s Dance.” When he began singing the latter song, millions of viewers back home no doubt fiddled with their volume settings on their remotes.
“Let’s dance, put on your red shoes and dance with me,” he droned (the correct lyrics are “put on your red shoes and dance the blues”).
