    Good luck with this one

    This thing works, but it is really picky. If it is the second device plugged in (or later) it doesn’t get enough power to run. If you plug it in first, and get it to work, stand on one foot among the unicorn tears, and hope it keeps working. I ended up using a 36w usb 3 hub for just this device, so it would have enough power. Also, does not work with 1080i. Delivers 1080 by 540 (which is useful to no one... ever... for anything). When it’s properly powered, and receiving 1080p, it functions well. Good luck.

    It just works, thought it had an issue but it turned out to be the desktop I wanted to use. My laptop runs it just fine and it works great with OBS to FB live.

    Works well with USB 2.0 or 3.0 !!!

    I have a PRO Capture HD, also an Elgato Cam Link 4K. The Pro Capture works on USB 2.0 well with my GoPro 4Black. Unlike the Cam Link 4k which works well on USB 3.0 but poorly on USB 2.0. If your computer has USB 3.0 the big difference is $$$ $90.00+ for Pro Capture HD or 350.00+ - 500.00 for a cam link. This is a no brainier. and you can get one in the USA. Had I known before buying the cam link, I would have skipped it and bought 3 of these.

    Didn't Work for Livestreaming with my Lumix G85

    I hoped to use this to Livestream between my Panasonic Lumix Micro 4/3rds camera and my laptop. It didn't work. I couldn't get any signal even after working with it for some time. Not recommended for that use.

    Camlink was sold out everywhere

    I don’t know about dslrs but have used this with my mirrorless Sony a7iii and haven’t had any issues at all. Use the Sony as a webcam for streaming news broadcast from a correspondent. Also was able to record and capture footage from my Nintendo switch. Decent alternative to others out there.
