    5th Season not quite as good, but still worthwhile

    We've been watching Numb3rs since it first came on TV in January 2005. We also have all the DVDs. We even taped many of the episodes in the fall of each year, as we would miss most or all of the broadcasts while attending our son's high school football games. Recently we've been watching episodes from the first and second seasons, and the subtle drop in quality is evident. The earlier seasons were full of light, and played the serious FBI against the looser Cal Sci environment, and brought them all together in both FBI cases and the great family scenes. Starting last season, however, the lighting turned darker, and the episodes had less of the energy found in the earlier seasons. Still, the characters are the same, and the relationships remain, so for Numb3rs fans the fifth ...

    Numb3rs: Fifth Season DVD

    I'm not a big fan of what's on TV these days, so I've been building my DVD collection of movies and seasons of shows. I rarely buy a movie or show I've never seen and I started watching Numb3rs in the third season and then missed the rest. I've slowly been piecing it together and always find great deals on shows on Ebay, sometimes getting brand new sets. Call me cheap or frugal or whatever, but I work too hard for too little. I've not seen this season yet, the wife and I are trying to go through them together. It's a great show with great characters. I love the recurring role that Lou Diamond Phillips plays. I know there are a lot of crime shows out there to choose from, but Numb3rs is probably my favorite. Not too graphic, good bits of funny here and ...

    Numb3rs is Aw3som3

    I have bought the first four seasons of Numb3rs on DVD and have watched them in order. It's just time for the fifth season! I love this show. I grew up loving math, got my degree in math, took extra math courses and now teach math and work on applied math models. This show is perfect for those who love math and those who haven't a clue about it. It does a perfect job of showing how the math applies to the world, how it can be used to solve crimes and problems but still putting it in terms that everyone can understand. I love each character, I love the positive light they put on math and they still have a sense of humor. In this season there are three episodes with commentaries, some very nice behind the scenes extras relating to how the show has progressed through all five ...
