Grey's Anatomyshined a spotlight on the relationship issues at Grey Sloan this week, from April afraid to invite Jackson to the wedding to Owen and Emma taking the next step - Thanksgiving together! Unfortunately, those were the least of the issues this week. Let's take a look at the bigger picture:
Cristina's jealousy: With Emma doing her "homework" in the hospital, Cristina is dealing with her insecurities about Owen moving on. Alex tells Cristina that she needs to get laid, advice that Shane hears and prompts him to offer up his services. Thankfully, Cristina immediately turns him down. But that doesn't last long...
Bailey's issues: Bailey's OCD tendencies are getting out of hand, which are made worse when Ben offhandedly mentions it to Derek, who must report it because he's on the board. When Ben tries and fails to talk to her, Owen must step in, barging into her OR and telling Mer to trigger Bailey's OCD by moving around her surgical tools. Bailey is kicked out of the OR, leading to a huge blowup at their house where she knocks over a chair in anger before compulsively picking it up right away. Sure, it makes sense that Bailey has gone OCD ever since she killed those patients last year, but something about this story still feels a bit off.
Calzona's future: Arizona has moved back in with Callie, but she's sleeping on the couch. Arizona quickly decides to come clean to Callie that she had dated someone else when they were broken up. Callie doesn't get angry, understanding that they weren't together, though she asks if it's really over. It is, though Leah doesn't feel that way. Callie and Arizona decide to really try. But when Leah freaks out during a surgery, Callie deduces that Leah was Arizona's fling and is furious that Arizona dated someone in the hospital. Arizona pushes Callie to really let her back in, including sleeping in bed with her, but Callie says she needs one more night to herself.
More trouble for the twisted sisters: After using Meredith's printer without her permission last week, Cristina's project didn't work, so she must once again use the printer, setting Mer back another full day. Instead of breaking the news to Mer, Cristina sends Shane to do it. Even though Cristina parades her baby patient out in hopes of pulling on Mer's heartstrings, Mer shuts Cristina out. Shane, however, stands up for Cristina and screams at Meredith for her... so Cristina kisses him. Blech. So. Wrong.
