Timber Wolf

In September, I went on a wolf hunt in Ontario with my Savage 93 XP loaded with Hornady 22 WMR VAX ammo. In Ontario they consider wolves small game and have a rule if a big game season is open you either have to buy a big game tag to use high powered rifles or use a firearm with under 400 Ft-LBS of energy at the muzzle to hunt wolves. After doing some testing of different ammo I decided the Hornady 22 WMR ammo was up for the job. On the second evening of my hunt the wolf came out of the timber at 60 yards and I made a perfect shot behind the shoulder. The Hornady 22 WMR ammo worked flawlessly and actually had an exit hole on the far side. I was able to recover my trophy at only 50 yards from where I shot it. The 22 WMR packs a big punch in a small package. Thanks to Hornady for making great ammo.
