Miranda and Steve go on their four-day honeymoon to a remote inn in upstate New York. Miranda was planning to take Brady along for the trip. Carrie and Charlotte offer to rotate to look after Brady in their absence. Charlotte says that it is not a real honeymoon if kids are there. Miranda had already given Magda the time off. Carrie decides to take Brady over to Aleksandr's apartment. Brady knocks over a vase and while Carrie handles him, the alarms start blaring. But Aleksandr is very calm and composed and fabulous with Brady.
Carrie discovers that Aleksandr has decided to not have any more children as he had vasectomy. Carrie speaks to Charlotte and says that she wants the option to have kids but doesn't want to give up on a great guy like Aleksandr. Charlotte says that Carrie is 38, and she does not have the luxury to waste time on a guy like Alek is she sees children in her future. Carrie is not sure if she is a baby person. She is not confident to let go of Alek for a baby she doesn't know she wants.
Aleksandr was married to the mother of Chole (his daughter). They both live in Paris now. Carrie realizes she is never going to have that life with Alek since he already had it with somebody else. Carrie knows that she has only been going with Alek for 2 months and does not want to ask if Alek loves her enough to make up for the fact that Carrie did not have her baby yet. Carrie has "the talk" with Alek and he says he doesn't want to be a parent, but won't stop Carrie from being one, if she wanted to
Meanwhile on the honeymoon, Miranda is losing her mind since she has nothing to do but sex. There is no TV, no radio and she forgot her phone charger. She spent an hour with Steve holding hands and watching the fire. Baby Brady sees Charlotte and Harry having sex. Charlotte thinks she has scarred him for life, but Miranda calms her down. Steve explains to Miranda that it is his honeymoon as well and 4 days away from work is not such a long time.
Samantha has surgery to take the lump out and is asked to get Chemotherapy as a precaution as her cancer was a stage 1. She gets angry when her male doctor Pinkner (David Deblinger) suggests that women with no children have a higher chance of breast cancer. Pinkner says that the cancer could have been caused by genes or Samantha's lifestyle choices including diet, childbirth etc. Samantha tries to get her an appointment with a well-known female oncologist Dr Andrew (David Wilson Barnes). Dr Andrew has no openings till March and her receptionist is not very encouraging towards Samantha either. In the waiting room, Samantha meets a nun who also has breast cancer.
Samantha eventually tells Jerrod that she has breast cancer. Turns out the receptionist is a big fan of Smith Jerrod and she sees Samantha's photo in the papers with Jerrod. She gives Samantha the appointment when she finds that she is his girlfriend and who promises to bring Smith to the office, if she gets the appointment. Samantha gets an appointment for the nun too.
