Miami city councilman Chad Bridges is found murdered, decomposing four days in an empty house owned by Apias Conglomerate. His brief case content, notably a PDA, was stolen there by neighbor and petty thief Gary Logan. His home has an older clandestine grave- Lorenzo Argenta's adopted, missing cousin Martha, skull smashed. Posthumous dog bites on Bridges lead to Daniel Wells and his teenage son Austin, whose home is in waterfront Cobalt Drive, which the city declares imminent domain to sell to developer Apias, controlled by William Preston. Wolf gets into trouble fighting their eviction. Several CSI contact old acquaintances before it's all clarified.
