"I've saved lives, and I've had my life saved," says Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) in the emotional trailer for her character's farewell in Grey's Anatomy.
ABC released a 1-minute clip paying tribute to Pompeo's character ahead of the midseason premiere. Set to Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars; it shows the highs and lows of Meredith's career and personal life.
"This is the place where I fell in love. The place where I found my family," says the voiceover.

"It's Meredith's last day at Grey Sloan Memorial, and the doctors plan a goodbye surprise while Nick confronts her about the future of their relationship," reads the logline for the episode, according to TV Fanatic. The new episode will air on 23 February in the US.
Pompeo previously announced that she is scaling back her participation this season and will only appear in 8 episodes as she works on another new TV series.
However, the 53-year-old told Entertainment Tonight that the upcoming episode is "not really my final."
"It's a little bit of a trick they're playing on people. It is my final episode for a while," she said.
