      Saoirse E The best crime show ever. So bingeable! Every episode has a group of FBI behaviour analysts and a tech analyst with lots of personality. Throughout the seasons all the characters are involved in a fair share of trauma to build story and character (although some plots were useless). I love everything about this show except for 2 things: 1. One episode something EXTREMELY traumatic would happen and the next episode they are normal, yet the trauma will come back to them episodes later and be resolved in that episode. 2. Reid and JJ. I think we all shipped them a bit in the beginning because the writers (it seemed like at least) were trying to push them together. However, then out of nowhere (I was sooooo shocked), JJ likes Will from one of the cases. They dated, got married, and had kids in like the span of what felt like a year. But then in season 13 and so much in 14 they straight up start putting them together like JJ isn’t married and had kids. They could’ve added a new character for Reid Rather than making JJ be weird for being kind of romantic with Reid. It can't decide if the "criminals" they're chasing are evil or sick- the show continually plays both sides of that fence without flinching. The plots are contrived. The writing is silly and bland. The main characters are quite flat. The "science" seems almost entirely made up. They never, ever, not ONCE talk about the legal issues involved in their adventures - apparently anything goes for the FBI. No matter when they finish the assignment, they fly into the sunset, even though they're based in Washington DC and typically fly west to get anywhere, so coming back, they would have to be ALWAYS flying into the sunrise to get their shot. And do their Suburbans fly with them on that tiny Gulfstream? They always drive the same exact cars, no matter where the "unsub" is located and how far they have to fly, yet they almost never hook up with the local FBI office to get cars. And why does EVERY team member have to take EVERY trip? And if i have to hear the word "unsub" again i'm going to be ill. If I was only interested in inducing brain melt for a couple of hours, Criminal Minds might be ok. But don't apply any gray matter to this show - it doesn't bear close examination - or prolonged watching.
