It may not appeal to purists, but Elementary provides a fresh new spin on Sherlock Holmes, and Jonny Lee Miller shines in the title role.

Denise Warner Entertainment Weekly There's hope for these two after all! Nov 26, 2018 Full Review Gabriel Tate Time Out The series is glossy, daft and, it has to be said in the face of the BBC's version, somewhat superficial, but Miller gives it heft. Jul 3, 2018 Full Review Les Chappell AV Club It does the job, both as an effective procedural installment and an episode that made me appreciate the growth of the dynamic between Miller's Sherlock and Lucy Liu's Joan Watson. Rated: B+ Apr 23, 2018 Full Review Sabienna Bowman TV Equals A clever twist only works if there's a good story backing it up though and Elementary delivered on both counts. Dec 21, 2018 Full Review Anthony Ocasio Screen Rant It's a competent series which puts an entertaining twist on an overly-familiar genre. But, no, it's not better than Sherlock. Dorian K Funnily enough it's actually the better sherlock show, even if it drags a bit by the end of the series Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/04/23 Full Review Bruno V Essa série foi bem adaptada; além que é fantástica em toda os aspectos. Brilhante quem criou essa série com todos os detalhes de crimes a serem investigados pela "ciência da dedução". Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/23/23 Full Review MEGA GODZILLA 8 The first season was great, second season started good. I really like Lucy Liu as Watson, good pairing. However, Season 3 is has some plots that are out in left field, weird subjects (time dilation, public pharmaceutical tests, etc.), really convoluted plots that are laughable, unrealistic, etc. I know Sherlock and company are supposed to solve difficult crimes but the writers for this show need to come up with realistic plots. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle did it better. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/12/22 Full Review Natalia Margarita L Probably the best series ive ever watched. Incredible take on Sherlock Holmes in the 21st century. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/22/22 Full Review Audience Member I didn't know what to expect and was a bit unsure of the quality of the modern Sherlock Holmes story but was very surprised how good the show is. Was hooked from the first episode. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Great show, very entertaining.
