Grey's Anatomy dropped several bombshells during Thursday's episode, which also marked the return of Private Practice'sCaterina Scorsone to Shondaland!

The day after a dejected Cristina failed to win the Harper Avery Award, everyone is going to bat for her, but none more so than Webber. He had planned a trip to Boston to celebrate, but instead turned his trip into an inquisition to find out why Yang was stiffed. It turns out that she didn't win because it would've been a conflict of interest for the Harper Avery Foundation, which is part owner of GSM. In fact, she even had the votes to win it. Also, Richard had plans to propose to Catherine, but after she accuses him of only being there to defend Cristina, he leaves without popping the question.

Meanwhile, Alex finally tells Arizona about the private practice job and explains that he already stuck around the hospital once before for her, so he can't do it again when he could be earning much more money with Dr. Butthole. Arizona says she won't stand in his way. Alex later gives notice that he's leaving for the private practice.

Returning to GSM for the first time since it was called that, Amelia shows up at the McMansion with news that James (Matt Long) has proposed to her, so she wants to test out what family life is like. After Amelia promises to have dinner on the table when Meredith and Derek return, they find her distraught on the couch and confessing that she can't handle it.

At the hospital, April and Jackson are still very icy towards each other, especially when she learns that Jackson is helping the Harper Avery Foundation figure out which research projects to trim since she believes the foundation will pass over Cristina not once, but twice in a week. When April returns home to pick up some of her stuff, Jackson apologizes and asks her to come home. But April knows this fight won't end because it turns out that she's actually pregnant. (Get the scoop on that here!)

When Webber returns to GSM, he tells Owen that Cristina would've won the award. When Cristina learns the truth, something seems to click in her; a realization that she'll never win at GSM. Thus, this is the beginning of the end for Cristina Yang at Grey Sloan Memorial.

Were you surprised that April is pregnant? Are you sad that Sandra Oh has so few episodes of Grey's left? Hit the comments!

Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 9/8c on ABC.
