The Mentalist – Episode 7.02 – The Greybar Hotel – Advance Preview + Teasers

Welcome back Mentalistas! According to the official synopsis, this week, The Mentalist sees Lisbon going undercover as a prison inmate in order to get a convict to turn on her boyfriend, who is the leader of a high-end car theft ring. How is Jane doing with his girlfriend away?
I think this episode focus on the strong bond between a couple, and what happens with they're separated for whatever reasons - in this episode, for the undercover case.
Remember that as always, Simon Baker and Robin Tunney’s chemistry is amazing, and this helps to improve a show. You’ve already seen them in the season premiere: smiles, holding hands and those lovely looks that only two lovers can have.
Also, Josie Loren fits perfectly in her role as Michelle Vega, and she’s part of the team already.
Don’t forget there’s a cameo from Stella Baker, Simon’s daughter, in this episode.

Some teasers:
-Guess what, Jane gives advices about doing a safe shower.
-Someone took Jane’s stuff.
-Abbott smells good.
-One person (or two) has a hard time sleeping.
-Aw, teasing is sexy.
-Lisbon has a heart-to-heart chat with someone.
-Don’t make Abbott get mad.
-There are a lot of adrenaline moments.
-Vega and Wylie share some good and funny scenes together.
-Water can save your life.
-Stay tuned till the end of the episode.

Some quotes:
“If you want someone to trust you, ask for a favor.”
“Well, I can’t do anything!”
“B****, who the Hell are you?” “Somebody who doesn’t want to get transferred to the high security just like you.”
“I miss my boyfriend.”
“Let’s go, good people!”

This is all I can say, without giving too much away. The episode is pretty good, and if you loved Robin Tunney in “Red Badge”, you’re going to adore her in this episode. If you have any question, leave a comment below and I will try to answer.

  6. For some reason I always think of Jane as a very sad puppy. :) So please tell me that he finally got a tiny bed and a water... I mean tea bowl in Lisbon's flat. ;) Anyway, I think they should adopt a real dog. It would be totally fun, watching them how they train it. :P

  10. Sounds like a real goodie. Loving the vibe of the Mentalist this season, especially the slightly different dynamic between Jane & Lisbon. Red Badge is the one where Lisbon pretended to be a driven to madness-murderous-psychopath to weed out a killer right? If so...well more awesomeness!

  11. Yes, that episode! In this one, Robin acts like a prison. She's funny and awesome to watch. She's a good actress indeed!

  13. I wonder why she haven't done it before? There wasn't an opportunity or she just didn't want to...

  14. I don't know that.

  15. I really don't know, sorry!

  16. Red Badge is one of my favorites too, and it's the episode where I started shipping Jane and Lisbon.

  17. Yeah) And I remember the promo for Red Badge for TV in my country and it was made in a very shipperish manner))) When I watched the ep I was like "Really? Siblings? Brother and sister? Uh-hu... ok.. I'll remember that... >:-)"

  18. Which means not in the first three episode. If I decode your answer correctly. ;)

  19. I started to watch TM not from the very beginning and didn't thought about shipping at all. Then I heard the cast talk about siblings and I was quite ok with that - "not going to bring them together? Fine. It's a cool show anyway" But when I started rewatching from the 1st ep I got confused... What they were showing us reminded me "siblings" least of all. Married couple - yes, but no bro/sis (in this concept their relationship could be called, sorry, as a platonic incest)))

  20. Sure it is sweet, how they miss each other, but really?? No goodbye kiss? - sending her of to prison for who knows how long?? - and even after being held at gun point, not even a hug?? Before they were a couple, they hugged now and then... Really, I am a Little disappointed... Not worth the wait...

  21. My opinion is always the same: love doesn't mean kiss and hug all the time. There are shows and shows who talk about getting in a relationship. The Mentalist has always been a subtitled show, in which every clue is important to get to know the whole episode. Same thing with Jane and Lisbon.

  22. I've never said that. I haven't seen episode 7.03 yet.
