Before prime time was dominated by Grey’s and now Scandal, there was the ultimate mid-aughts soap—Desperate Housewives. The show introduced audiences to the madcap suburban escapes of Susan, Lynette, Bree, Gabrielle, and Edie—and can also probably be credited (or blamed) for the prolific Real Housewives franchise on Bravo. As the show celebrates the 10th anniversary of its premiere this week, we’ll forgive the latter, and throw it back to our May 2005 cover, featuring the indomitable ladies of Wisteria Lane.
