If you’re longing to see new Gossip Girl outfits, the time is now. Nearly eight years have passed since the final episode of the original series aired, but once again, NYC’s elite high schoolers are being watched and exposed by that mysterious, all-knowing voice. The first episode, which airs tonight on HBO Max, unfolds with an abundance of romance, scandals, and drama. This time around, there’s no Blair or Serena in sight, but there’s plenty of fashion inspiration throughout the one-hour premiere.
Without spoiling anything, we will say that even with the restrictions of the Constance Billard School for Girls’ uniform, the cast manages to show off their personal style with a lust-worthy collection of It bags, statement shoes, and neckties. If the reboot proves to be as successful as the original, it could very well be an indication of what’s in and what’s out. Blair fans, sorry to break it to you, but headbands are not the star this time around.
