What can we expect from the Sex and the City reboot?

A few years after the second film that was supposed to be the last,  the Sex and the City sequel “And Just Like That” will once again see Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda reunite at the dawn of their fifties, more mature certainly, but their modern-day adventures haven't changed. In January 2021, Sarah Jessica Parker spoke to Vanity Fair about the reboot and raised a few questions: “For Carrie, who doesn’t have family beyond her friendships, where is she professionally? How have all of these political changes affected her work? Is she still writing a column? Has she written any more books? Or does she have a podcast? What does fashion mean to her now? How have the friendships changed or not changed, and has her social circle grown?

On June 11, the actress shared a picture of herself in New York, surrounded by her two companions Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, as Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York. This first image that broke the internet, was accompanied by the simple caption "Together again". It also seems that Mr. Big's second wife, Natasha -played by Bridget Moynahan- will be part of the show... In fact, the actress was photographed on set, and a leak of the script indicated that she allegedly caused problems in the marriage of Carrie and Mr. Big. Case to be followed..

Why won't Kim Cattrall, aka Samantha Jones, be in "And Just Like That..."?

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon will obviously be part of the show. However, Kim Cattrall will be absent in the role of Samantha Jones, despite being popular with Sex and the City fans. Could it be because of a series of disagreements she  has with her co-stars, and how vocal she was after the release of the last movie? Will the new Sex and the City series have the same flavor without the eccentric Samantha? One thing is for sure, the three remaining actresses are still just as desirable. In fact, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are producers of this highly anticipated sequel. Despite the lack of information on the content of this surprise seventh season, the Instagram account created for the occasion has collected more than 60 thousand followers in less than 10 hours. For now, no announcement has been made about the involvement of Darren Star, the creator of the series based on the novel by Candace Bushnell, suggesting he could be busy with season 2 of Emily in Paris.
