Ep 15. The Dinner Party

Stefan and Elena attend a dinner party at the mysterious Elijah's mansion, where they learn of the plan to break the curse that binds Elena's fate to that of the original vampires. Bonnie and Jeremy are playing catch-up with Anna's ghost, who is using Jeremy as a conduit to reach out to her mother. Meanwhile, Damon is recruited by Liz to help stop a serial killer targeting the patrons of a local bar, but his methods are at odds with Liz's. Unbeknownst to any of the characters, a brewing conflict between Damon and Stefan, as well as Klaus's relentless pursuit of Elena, marks the early stages of a war that threatens to tear apart Mystic Falls.
